EU nature conservation projects do not only exist to implement the necessary actions in FFH regions but also have the aim of informing local people about the measures required in order to protect natural environments and their flora and fauna. Those involved in the LIFE+ Project are keen to engage the public in the subjects of “watercourses”, “riverine habitat development”, “animals and plants in and along rivers”, and many more.

This information will be conveyed to the public via:

• Cooperation with the news media
• A website
• Brochures and other publications
• Guided tours of the project site
• Informative signs and notices where construction work or other activities are underway
• A travelling poster exhibition to be set up at relevant locations
• Meetings and conferences
